About Dr. Paryani
Rahul Paryani, M.D. is an internal medicine physician with an outpatient practice in the hospital district of Fort Worth, Texas. Dr. Paryani graduated with Gold Medal (Honors) from Sri Aurobindo Institute of Medical Sciences, Indore University,India. After graduating, he completed a three year Internal Medicine residency at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai ,NY Health Hospital Queens in New York where he led a performance improvement (PI) project within the Department of Ambulatory Care for Diabetes and Hypertensive patients. Since residency he has been serving as teaching faculty for the next generation of medical students, Internal Medicine (IM) residents within Graduate medical education(GME) department and precepting mid-level practitioners for UCSF Nurse Practitioner(NP) program in California. Moving to Texas, he intends to continue working in academic settings, training future health care providers while enjoying building long standing relationships and friendships that develop over time with patients while managing patients with high acuity, complex medical problems.
He wishes to achieve his goal through developing collaborative care approach with integrated behavioral health interventions for care of patients with chronic diseases at a time where they can easily feel alone and isolated. He feels empanelment and continuity of care through this level of support is just as valuable, if not more, than the treatment of the patient’s disease..
One of his favorite quotes is from a film loosely based on the real Dr. Hunter “Patch” Adams “You treat a disease, you win, you lose. You treat a person, I guarantee you, you'll win, no matter what the outcome.” In his free time, Dr. Paryani enjoys playing in Cricket league and has immense interest in organizing various conferences/ teach board review course for in-training physicians through social media channel and creating workshops including one during ophthalmology residency where he jointly wrote /acted/ directed a skit(nukkad nattak) with physician colleagues promoting eye donation and considers himself as lifelong doctor, teacher, student, actor.
